I lost 4 kilos in 14 days while lying in an infrared sauna blanket—plus I got glowing skin and felt amazing!

I never would’ve thought you could relax while lying down, work out at the same time, and lose weight,” says massage therapist Mariana, thrilled with her new favorite product. “I have to admit, it’s my favorite weight-loss/health product of all time! I lost 4 kilos in 14 days just lying at home!” That’s what user Mariana (37) wrote to us as feedback after purchasing the nordenbeauty infrared sauna blanket. We were delighted and asked her what she loved most about infrared therapy.

“I’ve always wanted a sauna at home, but besides needing spare square meters, it also requires a hefty budget. With the new, practical nordenbeauty infrared sauna blanket, I can slip in for a sweat session right in front of the TV,” Mariana points out as the blanket’s biggest plus.

Indeed, studies find that infrared therapy offers several benefits: reduced inflammation in the body, alleviated acne, a faster metabolism, weight loss, less cellulite, better sleep quality, and reduced anxiety.

It’s been observed that just 20–30 minutes of infrared therapy 1–2 times a week can noticeably strengthen the cardiovascular system. Mariana knew this and says she started with a recommended 14-day course, during which she lost 4.5 kilograms and several dozen centimeters in measurements. After that, she continued using the infrared sauna blanket 1–2 times a week. “I’ve never felt so energetic (or so much less bloated).” For Mariana, the disappearance of that puffy, bloated feeling was unexpected but very valuable. And there were even more benefits in her experience.

From quartz-crystal hairbrush to the infrared sauna blanket

In my friend group, I’ve always been the first enthusiast to try every possible health product, service, and trend. I work as a massage therapist and consider it a professional interest! Once, I ate raw garlic every morning for two weeks to restore my body with a natural probiotic after a course of antibiotics. It worked—my health came back and my clients… drifted away; people tended to keep their distance. In beauty routines I use quartz tools— I massage my face with a quartz roller, and the bristles in my hairbrush are made of the same material. In short, I’ll try anything that seems interesting and useful.

So my friends and partner weren’t surprised when, aiming for detox and weight loss, I bought the innovative nordenbeauty infrared sauna blanket. I explained to others that it’s basically a practical, portable, sauna-effect “duvet.” I live in an apartment, and owning a private sauna has so far remained a whipped-cream-pink daydream. Instead, I now have a pastel-pink nordenbeauty infrared sauna blanket!

Of course, I did my homework first and learned that infrared therapy helps improve metabolism, relieve pain and inflammation, stimulate heart function and—surprise, surprise—also helps in the fight against acne.

I expected weight loss—and got glowing skin as a bonus

I first experienced the benefits of the infrared sauna blanket this summer. A friend living abroad recommended this new health product to me—he’d been using a blanket for years. I started infrared therapy two months before my best friend’s wedding, mainly because the bridesmaid dress was annoyingly tight, a whole size too small. With the goal of losing weight before the big day, I decided to give infrared therapy a chance. What did I have to lose? And the fact that one blanket session can burn up to 600 kcal made the decision pretty easy.

Losing 4 kg in two weeks by lying down and sweating out toxins was unheard of for me, but it wasn’t the only plus! My energy levels and my clear, beautiful skin were something I absolutely didn’t expect. Then again, when you think about it, the skin is our largest organ and, by sweating through it, we get rid of lots of harmful toxins. A tip: if sweat droplets keep collecting on your forehead while you’re in the blanket, keep a damp towel nearby to dab it away—this helps you avoid annoying sweat pimples.

It’s incredible how just half an hour of lying at 60–70°C (and it was definitely a pleasant lie-down—I listened to podcasts or watched Netflix) can work so well.

I don’t tolerate heat very well and can’t stay long in a hot sauna.

Now my gym-rat partner uses the infrared sauna blanket for faster recovery, too. It’s already pretty normal that we rush to finish our workdays because whoever gets home first has priority on the blanket. By the way, we’ve both tried various smoothie and juice cleanses for detox in the past. I feel that sweating in the blanket suits me better than drinking bitter celery juice. Tasty smoothies, of course, remain on our menu.
